Welcome Back

Uncategorized 2 Comments »

Welcome back to term 3 or the beginning of semester 2. What an exciting semester this will be for you as you head into the final 6 months of your life in primary school. I hope you take some time this week, to set some goals both short term and long term for your semester. I hope that you kept up your photo a week project during the holidays, but if you didn’t, make sure you keep working on it for the rest of the year.

Check out our countdown calendar and see how close our Melbourne camp is. That is going to be really exciting.

Make sure you look after Mrs A while she is taking my place for the next 2 weeks. Teachers talk to each other you know, and I will hear EVERYTHING even before I get back. Make an effort to make sure I’m hearing the good things.

Don’t forget our Rubbish Free Lunch days which begin this week for the rest of the year. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, you must not bring any rubbish into the school, via your lunch boxes. Let’s see how quirky and creative you can be with your lunches.

Don’t forget to keep talking to me - I love hearing from you all via the blogs - this one and your own, and if you want to email me while I am away, just send your emails to murnane.margaret.m@edumail.vic.gov.au     I love to hear what you are up to and what you are thinking and feeling. Have a great 2 weeks and I will see you when I get back.

Happy Holidays

Hi Technokids, I just wanted to wish you all a really happy holiday break. Make sure you catch up with all your friends, visit some lovely places, take lots of photos for your blogs and do some sort of daily exercise to keep your brains sharp. It would be fabulous to see you keep up with your writing journals, including the photo a week project. As much as anything else, it should be loads of fun to do and a great record of some of the fun stuff you get up to in the next two weeks. I will be taking lots of photos in Byron Bay and keeping on with my photo of the week too. I won’t be near a computer for 2 weeks, but I will post them when I get back. Have fun, stay happy and refresh those creative little minds for a fun filled semester 2.

Cheers - Ms Murnane

If you could change the world to create a better future, what would you do?

The online student conference is on now. I invite all year 6 technoheads, to click on the link, and take part in this amazing discussion between students across the globe. Watch the opening presentations and then click on the student’s perspectives, or general discussion, to be a part of this conference. Read what other students around the globe are thinking about. You might like to add your thoughts on what we have discussed about global warming, global poverty and nuclear disarmament. You might have something else you want to say as well. Join in - remember, I can, you can, they can, we can all make a difference.
