Happy Holidays
Uncategorized June 27th, 2008Hi Technokids, I just wanted to wish you all a really happy holiday break. Make sure you catch up with all your friends, visit some lovely places, take lots of photos for your blogs and do some sort of daily exercise to keep your brains sharp. It would be fabulous to see you keep up with your writing journals, including the photo a week project. As much as anything else, it should be loads of fun to do and a great record of some of the fun stuff you get up to in the next two weeks. I will be taking lots of photos in Byron Bay and keeping on with my photo of the week too. I won’t be near a computer for 2 weeks, but I will post them when I get back. Have fun, stay happy and refresh those creative little minds for a fun filled semester 2.
Cheers - Ms Murnane

Hi Marg,
enjoy Byron….gorgeous beaches and weather etc.
I thought of you yesterday when we rocked up to the motel and saw a macaw in ‘the lobby’ (as it were?!)
It is not friendly, but very beautiful.
The Bahamas are lovely.
Its funny too, if you want to cross the busy streets, you just do, and the cars stop. The locals saunter across in their own good time.
Also if they see their mate in the street while they are driving, they just stop, and cars behind either wait or go around…(double laned one way streets in down town Nassau). Off to Cuba on Sunday. That is going to really be exciting. Jamaica after that and Dominican Republic if the flights are not too dear. I don’t mean to brag, just want to tell you what its like. VEry difficult to get to Cuba because of the US embargo. and you have to purchase flights before you know if u are allowed in. I was very hesitant to fork over nearly $400 for a trip that’s not guaranteed to get off the ground so to speak. At the Cuban consulate here, I heard a lot of ‘you’ and ‘will’.
And I did a lot of nodding and agreeing. I read a quote the other day in the on-flight mag…..the world is like a book and travel is like turning the pages. if you never go anywhere, you only read one page.
In Miami (particularly Miami Beach) I was like…”no, I’m not ready to leave yet….” and now that we are in The Bahamas, I am like, “no, I am not ready to leave yet!”
But you gotta keep turning the pages!
I hope you get a cluster dot off the coast of The US.
Have a lovely relaxing time away Marg.
see you next term!

I think we should do our photo of the weeks, I have. In the holidays you have all the more time to do them. It has taken up a nice little chunk of my boring days. I have got some beautiful scrap booking things with my pocket money
I have just been shopping 3 days in a row, (tiring.) I also started another small journal that I have been writing in every day. It’s small, but nice
Have great holidays Ms Murnane and fellow grade 6’s!!!
